Policies + Procedures
Parents and visitors may watch from the observation area. NO PARENTS or VISITORS are allowed in the classrooms!
No refunds or deductions are given for missed classes. Good attendance is essential to the child's progress. Your child may attend another section of his/her class during the week to make up a missed class.
DROP OFFS & PICKUPS
Should be within 5-10 minutes of the beginning and end of class. There is no one to supervise students when they are not in class. Older students may not hang out at the studio when they are not in class.
Arriving late for class is disruptive to the class and it is unfair to the student. All students must arrive on time.
We will follow all East Baton Rouge Parish School closures due to bad weather.
Students' class placement will be determined according to the age, ability, and maturity of the child. Final decision is based on the instructor. Students over the age of 12 will be placed in either an advanced performance or non performance class as determined by their ability on the first day of class.
Dance wear may be purchased through the Tari Wear store located in Taris School of Dance.
LOST and FOUND
Any items found at the studio are placed in the lost and found bin at the studio. Tari's is not responsible for any items, which are left, lost or stolen at or from the studio. Please return to the studio immediately to retrieve a forgotten item. Items in Lost and Found that are not picked up by the 15th of each month will be donated to the Salvation Army. Label all shoes and clothing items.
If, for any reason, it becomes necessary to withdraw a child from a class, please notify the studio by written letter (you may print out the Withdrawal Notice Form below!) before the first of the next month to avoid tuition being charged again. Tuition and other fees will continue to be charged until a letter of withdrawal has been received. No refunds. The final date to Withdraw/Drop-out from a recital class is in the middle of December each year. Call our Front Desk to get the exact date. Please try to drop earlier than this as we have students on waiting lists for many classes and we do not enroll after this date. After this date, you will be responsible for paying tuition through the dance recital, and all fees (costume, video, printer, recital) associated with the recital held in June each year. TUITION AND FEES
Tuition is figured on a yearly basis, which includes 11 months of classes and holidays.
(August through June tuition is charged!)

$75.00 per month=1 hour class
$95.00 per month=1.5 hour class
$125.00 per month = 2 hour class
$185.00 per month=3 hour class
$65.00=each additional 1 hour class
The Recital will be held on FRIDAY evening and two performances on SATURDAY in May each year at the LSU Union Theatre. Required classes and rehearsals will be held through the Friday of the first Recital Performance. All recital students must participate. Students in non-performance classes are excluded.
One-half of the costume deposit is due in January and the remaining balance is due in February. There will be NO REFUNDS for costume fees if student drops. Costumes are ordered during the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays.

This fee also includes any alterations that may have to be made to your costume.
1 HOUR CLASS: $140.00 (2 Costumes @ $70.00 each)
1.5 HOUR CLASS: $240.00 (3 Costumes@ $80.00 each)
2 HOUR CLASS: $240.00 (3 Costumes @ $80.00 each)
3 HOUR CLASS: $270.00 (2 costumes @ $135.00 each)
(ADV. I, II, IV):
3 HOUR CLASS: $270.00 (3 Costumes @ $90.00 each)
1 HOUR CLASS: HIP-HOP (OR) TAP (OR) Pointe (1 costume @ $90.00 each)
A $35.00 Video fee will be assessed per family on MARCH 1st. Each family will get ONE video of their performance. Students dancing in two/three performances that would like a copy of an additional performance can order it for an additional $35.00.
All students are REQUIRED to have their picture in the recital book. A $75.00 printer fee will be assessed per family on APRIL 1st. (Siblings will appear in one picture in the book) Siblings may have individual pictures in the program book but an additional $75.00 fee must be paid for each student by March 1st. Please check with our Front Desk as to when picture day will be scheduled each Spring.
A $100.00 recital fee will be assessed on MAY 1st. This fee entitles each family to six performance tickets, a program book and each student will receive a trophy.
LATE FEE. Tuition is due on the First Day of each month. A 10% late fee or $10 late fee (whichever is greater) will be added to accounts not paid by the 5th DAY of each month regardless of the day of the week the 5th falls on (NO EXCEPTIONS.) NO REFUNDS or deductions are given if a child misses class for any reason. Students will be dropped from the class roll if any account goes past 30 days past due.

PRESCHOOL CLASSES (Ages 3-4)
Any Style leotard; tights; ballet shoes, tap shoes with tap shoe ties; dance bag; hair in ponytail or bun.
5 AND 6 COMBO CLASS
Any Style leotard; jazz pants; crop top; tights; ballet shoes; tap shoes with tap shoe ties; dance bag; hair in ponytail or bun.
7-11 AGE COMBO CLASSES
Any Style leotard; jazz pants, crop top; jazz shoes; tap shoes; pink split-sole ballet shoes; dance bag; hair in ponytail or bun.
12 AND UP ADVANCED LEVELS
Any Style or color leotard/tights for ballet; crop top; jazz pants for jazz/lyrical accepted; Poirouette lyrical shoes; pink split-sole canvas ballet shoes; dance bag; hair in ponytail or bun.
Tap shoes and comfortable clothing.
Tennis Shoes or hip-hop sneakers and comfortable, loose clothing.
